THE PROJECT
The project "IMPRESSIONS of HUMANITY" started in 2010, under the impetus of the Dominican painter Marcos ANTONIO. It is a global project both artistic and humanitarian that brings together everyone, people of all ages, the rich, the poor, famous people, anonymous, people of different religious beliefs, political tendencies and social categories.
The goal of "IMPRESSIONS
of HUMANITY" is to collect one million hand impressions on 985 panels (5 x 9 foot). In each country, 5,000 people will be invited to join this project. Acrylic paint is applied in the palm of people's hands, they are asked to leave their mark on the canvas : this moment is immortalized by some photos and a small video clip.

"IMPRESSIONS of HUMANITY" aims to :

Create an international canvas of peace, where people can shake hands despite conflicts and wars,

Celebrate all we have in common: our humanity,

Erase everything that divides humanity,

Give a voice to those who do not have it,

To immortalize a million people

The information collected (photos and videos), which will never be published on the Internet, will be available in the Foundation's "IMPRESSIONS of HUMANITY" representations, where everyone can visit. It is planned to have at the beginning of a representation by continent. You will be able to consult the facsimiles of the works, as well as the photos and the video clips of the people who will have deposited their imprint on the canvas. This consultation will thus provide future generations with information about their ancestors, and more generally, will provide an insight into the diversity of the world's population.

The canvases, for their part, will circulate in the museums that will make the request, and will be the gift of Marcos  ANTONIO to humanity.

Nowadays, 21 countries were visited, and two or three out of five canvases were produced in each country. The indicates the countries that have already been the subject of paintings.
